About British Sign Language (BSL) Courses
- City of Edinburgh
We have been hosting British Sign Language (BSL) classes since the 1980′s and in that time we have seen thousands of people successfully pass through our training centre.
We use qualified and experienced deaf tutors for all of our British Sign Language courses and have amassed a collection of excellent resources and materials.
Not sure what level you’re at? If you already have experience of using BSL, one of our tutors can assess your level so you begin with a class that matches your skills; just get in touch and we’ll do the rest.
Most of our courses are accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and all of our BSL courses qualify for ILA Scotland funding.
What is ILA Scotland Funding?
ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme that can help pay for the cost of learning. It is for people who are aged 16 or over and living in Scotland. If your income is £22,000 a year or less, not in full time education or you are on benefits, you can apply for a learner account from ILA Scotland that will give you up to £200 a year towards the cost of this course. You can find the full criteria here: My World of Work – ILA funding criteria
